Bay of Fires.
The Bay of Fires is a coastal area on the north east of Tasmania, famous for a three day walk which can be done there, and the Bay of Fires Lodge, which is a hiking lodge situated on a hill overlooking the final stretch of the walk. These a few shots of the coastline, the lodge and the views from the lodge. The orange colour on the rocks is an endemic lichen, which gives the appearance of fire along the shore. However, the bay is named for the fires of the native people, seen when the early explorers sailed by.
